MOLE

Internal Bathroom Fan

About MOLE

The MOLE bathroom fan quickly and quietly removes humidity and stale air from internal bathrooms or from bathrooms where there are no opening windows. It features a very powerful 12V brushless motor and a remote transformer with timer overrun.

There are two versions of the MOLE fan, one for installing on walls and the other for ceiling installation. Both of these are of slim design so are unobtrusive, and are designed to extract air through a 90o ducting connection and through rectangular ducting making them an ideal choice for connecting to ducting running under floorboards or above ceiling panels.

Operation of the MOLE fan is fully automatic – the fan will operate when bathroom light is switched on. There are no user adjustments required. A single gang remote proportional timer transformer is included as standard. A remote AUTOSTAT humidity controller is available as an optional extra.

MOLE Fan Wiring Diagram

General Notes on Fan Installations

The fan position should be as far as practical from the main source of air replacement. This is to avoid short-circuiting of the airflow. The fan can be placed on a wall or ceiling. The MOLE fans have a rectangular 110x60mm spigot.

The fan should be located at a high level close to the moisture source. If the room/ dwelling contains a fuel burning device such as a gas boiler with a non-balanced flue, it is essential that there is enough replacement air to prevent fumes being drawn down the flue where the fan is extracting.

If using the optional remote AUTOSTAT this should be positioned 100mm down from the ceiling on an internal wall and not above a heat source. Optimally located to sense moisture sources.

And for the Specifier

The MOLE is supplied as a wall or ceiling fan with a 110x60mm rectangular spigot and proportional timer. The fan will include one brushless 12V motor of not more than 8 Watts extracting at no less than 70M3/h.
